Operations Research and Management Science


Operations Research and Management Science is a master program in English at Tilburg University.
This program teaches generic mathematical models and methods that allow you to solve contemporary decision problems in a wide variety of applications. Examples from logistics include vehicle routing, supply chain optimization, and inventory management. But there are many other applications, such as donor kidney allocation and optimizing tumor treatment plans in the medical field, or dike height optimization and train scheduling in the public sector.
Because Operations Research and Management Science is predominantly an applied field, you will also develop the skills to successfully apply the theory in practice, and to communicate efficiently with the decision makers.

Location: Tilburg, the Netherlands

Duration: 1 year

Main Subjects: Simulation, Operations Research and Management Science in Practice, Nonlinear and Robust Optimization

Possible careers: Operations Research or Management specialist, in a consultancy firm, a software company

Admission requirements:

• Bachelor in Econometrics degree or similar discipline from a university recognized by the Admissions Board
• Legalized translation of the diploma (if not in English)
• GRE General Test with above 75%
• TOEFL with minimum 90 score or IELTS with minimum 6.5 or CAE or CPE
• Motivation letter
