International Leisure & Events Management

International Leisure Management is a professional bachelor program in English at Breda University. This English-taught program prepares students for a career in the international leisure industry. They will become professionals in this creative and dynamic industry. During this education they learn how to create memorable and meaningful experiences which contribute to a more beautiful world.
The International Leisure Management program is delivered thematically. This means that subjects such as economics, psychology, management, communication and market research are dealt with in content-related projects, rather than in separate topics. During the placement and graduation assignment, students can immerse themselves in the specialization which most appeals to them: Attractions&Theme Park Management, International Leisure Management, International Event Management, Social Innovation.
In the fourth year students also can choose a special focus. They can choose a minor, for example Imagineering, Aviation Management, Visitor Management, Entrepreneurship, Researcher in Leisure, Consultant in Leisure, Management in Creative Industries, Leisure for Development.

Location: Breda, the Netherlands

Duration: 4 years

Main Subjects: Project Management, Leisure basics, Leisure direction, Event Organisation, Imagineering, Marketing and Communication.

Placement: in the third year for seven months in a company in Netherlands or abroad

Number of places: 400

Possible career: leisure manager in theatres, music labels, sports centres, conference/event agencies, wedding planning, development of leisure areas
